Red & Blue (aka Adam & Jay) are two mates from South London. Jay misspent his youth DJing at illegal parties and as many bars and pirate radio stations that would have him whilst Adam misspent his locked away in a little dark room with his synths and samplers. It didn't take them long to realise that between them, they could put some pretty interesting tracks together. Their first, "Until the End" was released in 2001 by the Croydon based Suspect Package label and was received well by a wide range of DJ's. Justin Drake (Peace Division), Jody (Way Out West) and Cream resident Matt Hardwick were all seduced by Adam & Jay's debut. The original mix was a deep slice of peak time progressive house with two darker, drum fuelled twisted mixes on the flip. Over the next few years the boys fine tuned their sound, flirting with different styles but always focusing on the elements that matter most on the dance floor - the drums. Early releases on Tune-Inn, Climax and several on 555 saw the emergence of the familiar Red & Blue sound; dark drums, trippy FX and relentless grooves. Later releases on Minimal and Release Records were hugely successful for Adam & Jay and were picked up by the likes of John Digweed (he cained Driller for no less than 12 months!), Anthony Pappa, Sander Kleinenberg & Dave Seamen. 2005 finally saw Adam & Jay launch their own label, "Adjust Recordings". The aim of Adjust is not only to act as an avenue for Adam & Jay’s own productions, but to release strong club friendly tracks and to focus on new & up and coming talent, as well as relying on more established names.Although still in it's infancy Adjust is already establishing itself as a label to watch out for with great releases and remixes from the likes of Dan Welton, J&S Project, DJ Paulo/Todd Dutkevitch, Danny Graham, RiffRaff, KPAXX, Zimbardo, Kingkade, James Harcourt, Alex Ocampo, RPO, Jairus Miller & many more. If that wasn't enough the boys
also find time to promote there own occasional club night; the aptly named
"SHAKE", venues that have homed this night of twisted tribal mayhem over the
years have included the near legendary Dog Star in Brixton, Spirit in EC1 and LowDown in WC2. They also regularly provide guest mixes on Brisbane's 4zzz
(102.1FM) Crucial Cutz dance show in Australia, as well as hosting their own
regular two hour show, also entitled "SHAKE", on the popular Internet radio station
Frisky Radio. DISCOGRAPHY
